He first registered the name in 1994, when the world wide web was still in its infancy, and was hoping the domain would help him get a contract with a pizza firm for his consulting company. It didn’t work out as deliciously as the domain sounds, and he reportedly closed up his business which was supposed to utilize the domain.

He decided to keep the domain he has registered and is now reaping the fruits of his labor. After maintaining it for $20 a year since 1994, it was finally sold for $2.6M to an anonymous bidder in a one week auction which started on the 27th of March 2008. The price started at just $100.
